Thap have a long running relationship with initial founder of Graphic.ly Kevin Mann he spent eight months working with us as a freelancer doing a flash interface for iwant2b. After the project finished we tried to hire him as we knew he was a great guy and someone we could work with long term, he did not come to work for us but stayed around and worked from our office in the early days of Take Publishing.

When he got his initial investment from NStar he asked if Thap would write the back end to the very first comic book application (Take Comics) we spent the next six months working with him to build out the database and web services.

To keep this short, when Kevin returned successfully from TechStars he hired some of our devs and Take Comics became Graphic.ly. After a couple of months Tom our technical director also signed on. It was a great chance to work in a start-up and experience working with great people in the US/UK and make new bonds with big players such as Microsoft and Google.

Now Tom is back at Thap there is still a great relationship between the two companies and hopefully we can collaborate again.
